"Marble Wedding Cake"

My friend Benny’s younger brother Marvin caused quite a stir when he married a gal he had only known for 9 days. Marvin was a sharp dresser and the girls loved him. This gal, Bertie, had an eye for fashion and loved Marvin’s suit and eyeglass combinations. They made an especially handsome couple on their wedding day, but one year after this portrait was conceived in my head, they got a divorce and Marvin moved on to wife #2 in a series of four. This once happy couple hang here at 10″ x 14″ and are painted with paint (acrylic!) on canvas board.
