1970’s HUGE Afro Schlitz Beer Sign!

Now this is a stunner! Bunny gave me this years ago to decorate an ad hoc bar I set up for a birthday barbecue I threw for my friend Frances. Dated 1975, this is a classic Afro American beer sign from Schlitz. The only thing larger than the female’s afro are the bottles and pitchers of beer! And what a fabulous rec room this scene depicts! The frame is made of gold plastic “burned” to look old in spots (a favorite artist’s technique!). The convex Schlitz globe is 7-1/2″ across and raised 1-1/4″ from the surface. The glossy paper picture is slightly bubbled but there are no rips anywhere.
