Stunning and Touching Graceland tray!
This Graceland tray is as poignant as poignant gets. Made of plastic Melmac, it features the King, Elvis Presley (not to be confused with the King in my painting “Connie’s Favorite Kisser”) looking down on his precious Graceland mansion. This tray is 5-3/4″ long and 4-1/4″ wide, the perfect size for coins, keys or the drink of your choice. The shocking fuschia halo around Elvis is a curious compliment to the red towel/scarf around his neck – I would have never put these two colors together – but I guess the designer was trying to evoke the pathos Elvis must feel when he looks at that house and realizes he will never be able to carry on inside of it anymore. This genuine Memphis, Tenn. artifact was made in Taiwan.
