"Big Red Fists"

Big John Mack was a legendary fighter in Upper Michigan. It wasn’t that he packed such power into his punches so much as he had unusually large hands and delighted us all with a fresh pair of designer stitched boxing gloves each and every time he fought. My favorite ones were bright red, the color of my favorite Crayola. John liked to boast that he had a new pair of matching gloves and shorts for every bout. John weighs in at 16″ x 20″ and was created with acrylic on canvas board.
