"Wading Beauties"

These three gals have been going to the beach together every day of every summer for as long as I can remember. They alternate driving duties and eat their luncheon in the car so as not to appear as pigs on the beach. They always have a cooler of delicious spiked Kool-Aid and are among the most popular girls on the beach as a result. I’ve never seen them in water above their ankles and I’m sure it’s because they don’t want to muss their beautiful hair. This painting measures 12″ x 16″ and is painted with paint – acrylic! – on flat canvas board.
